Lucky Rock Wine Co.

2016 Sonoma County Pinot Noir

Lucky Rock Wine Co. is a collaboration between wine industry journeymen Aaron and Jesse Inman. The brothers grew up in a mining family on the banks of the Klamath River and discovered early in life the rewards of learning a skilled trade – the trade of choice being winemaking. They developed a philosophy of honesty and learned to embrace mother nature’s gifts during their unconventional upbringing along the river banks of Northern California.

Discovering vineyards that lend themselves to delicious blends at a fair price has dominated the Inman brothers' prospecting dreams. And so, three sites from the following counties were blended because they all grow superb Pinot Noir, yet are elevated by a cuvée of the three. Sonoma provides opulent fruit and earth components. Monterey lends bright acidity and high-toned red fruits. San Benito gifts the blend finesse, body and complexity. The result is this fruit-forward, medium-bodied, and well-balanced wine.

TASTING NOTES: On the nose are cherry and earth notes, dusted with hints of graham cracker crust, vanilla and pomegranate seeds. The palate explodes with ripe red fruits, and toasty oak — all while maintaining the balance we strive for in this wine.
